Start a Nonwoven Fabrics Products Manufacturing & Trading

Fibres for hygiene
(75) Start a Nonwoven Fabrics Products Manufacturing & Trading
Non woven fabrics are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally or chemically. They are flat, porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibers or from molten plastic or plastic film. They are not made by weaving or knitting and do not require converting the fibers to yarn.
Non woven fabrics are engineered fabrics that may be a limited life, single-use fabric or a very durable fabric. Nonwoven fabrics provide specific functions such as absorbency, liquid repellency, resilience, stretch, softness, strength, flame retardancy, washability, cushioning, filtering, bacterial barrier and sterility. These properties are often combined to create fabrics suited for specific jobs, while achieving a good balance between product use-life and cost. They can mimic the appearance, texture and strength of a woven fabric and can be as bulky as the thickest paddings. In combination with other materials they provide a spectrum of products with diverse properties, and are used alone or as components of apparel, home furnishings, health care, engineering, industrial and consumer goods

Polypropylene materials secure optimal spinning and enhanced processability in non-wovens

Polypropylene (PP) materials are popular choices for non-wovens. Borealis offers a full range of both polyproylene and polyethylene grades for use in a variety of non-               woven applications such as:

  • Hygiene applications
  • Geotextiles
  • Medical applications
  • Filtration
  • Absorption
Our polypropylene product grades can be used to create non-woven material using one of 3 major techniques:
  1. The meltblown process: Meltblown is a technology to produce very thin fibres. Thin fibres are extruded and further elongated by means of hot air at high velocity. The fibres are then collected on a collection belt where they form a so called nonwoven. It is a random collection of thin fibres. The thinner the fibres, the smaller the openings or pores between the fibres.
  2. The spunbonded process: Our spunbonded grades have controlled rheology that secures stable spinning and excellent web formationcombined with optimal web properties.
  3. Staple fibre production: These grades have a balanced morphology, rheology and additivation to secure optimal spinning and enhanced thermobonding performance.
For each fibre production technique, Borealis can tailor unique products such as specially designed gas-fading free formulations that protect the fibre and fabrics from nitrogen oxide-induced discoloration.
Listed below are some of the more familiar products made with nonwovens:
  • disposable diapers
  • sanitary napkins & tampons
  • sterile wraps, caps, gowns, masks and drapings used in the medical field
  • household and personal wipes
  • laundry aids (fabric dryer-sheets)
  • apparel interlining
  • carpeting and upholstery fabrics, padding and backing
  • wall coverings
  • agricultural coverings and seed strips
  • automotive headliners and upholstery
  • filters
  • envelopes
  • tags
  • labels
  • insulation
  • house wraps
  • roofing products
  • civil engineering fabrics/geotextiles

    1. Very True! For achieving a good balance between product use-life and cost nonwoven fabrics provide specific functions such as absorbency, liquid repellency, resilience, stretch, softness, strength, flame retardancy, washability, cushioning, filtering, bacterial barrier and sterility. I was searching for Dust Collection Filtration Bag India and got this blog.
      Thanks for sharing.
